Latino Branding Power is owned and maintained by Jonathan Barrera Mikulich, an award-winning designer, respected thought leader and esteemed consultant about Hispanic marketing and branding.
His work was recently curated for the Smithsonian Institution‘s American Enterprise exhibition at the National Museum of American History. In addition, Jonathan is the winner of the 2013 Hispanic Business of the Year Award from the West Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, as well as the recipient of the 2016 Pacesetter Distinguished Alumni Award from Ferris State University. He has been invited as a guest presenter both regionally and nationally, including appearances for the Grand Rapids Area Professionals for Excellence (GRAPE), Davenport University Secrets of Success Series, and the Latinos in Social Media National Conference in Houston and New York City.
Jonathan holds a Master of Business Administration from Ferris State University as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Visual Communication. He has a professional certification in Hispanic Marketing Communications from Florida State University‘s renowned Center for Hispanic Marketing Communication, as well as an Advanced Studies Certification in Design and Innovation Management from Kendall College of Art and Design through Ferris State University.
Currently, Jonathan is a co-founder and director of brand strategies at Vias Latino Market Consultants, where he assists in delivering transcreation services for several clients including Metro Health, Monat Global, Celebration Cinema, and ArtPrize. He is a member of the West Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, has served as a board member and president for the Mexican Heritage Association, as a board member for AIGA West Michigan, and currently volunteers with AIGA West Michigan’s Diversity Council. Jonathan is also an aspiring musician and performs as a member of the band Cabildo. He lives with his wife Evelyn, an education administrator, in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
